Gerald “Jerry” HooverGerald L. Hoover, 66, of Galion died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Woodside Village Care Center in Mount Gilead. Army that fall, serving during Vietnam until his discharge in 1968. He went to work for ITT in Galion where he was introduced to a co worker, Sue Auck. After several calls, Sue agreed to a date and they began to grow on one another. ugg trainers < ugg trainers /strong>MITCHELL, GEORGE J. George J. Mitchell of Hamden passed away peacefully on December 29, 2012, attended by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Xenakis) Mitchell, his daughters Sylvia and Pauline Mitche ugg trainers ll also of Hamden, his brother in law, Peter Xenakis of North Haven, his nephew Andrew Koutroumanis, (wife, Gayle) of North Haven and his brother Peter Mitchell of Stonington. Born in the picturesque mountains of Andros, Greece son of the late John and Sylvia Mitchell, he proudly served in the Greek Navy during WW II prior to moving to New York. He later settled in Connecticut where he resided for more than 60 years. He was a successful restaurateur in New Haven and Hamden. He loved nature and gardening was his passion. He happily toured friends and neighbors throug ugg trainers h paths of his home grown vegetables, herbs and flowers and everyone left with bags of produce. A private funeral service was held at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Orange. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church Endowment Fund or to CT Hospice of Branford.
