Dunn, Dale, 84, passed peacefully after a year of declining health. He will be remembered as a proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and as a dedicated friend and gracious man of service. Dale was born in Hutchi ugg trainers nson, Kansas, to Charles and Lucille Dunn. He served in the United States Marine Corps and after his discharge, met his wife and life partner, Ellen, on a blind date at Kans ugg trainers rong> ugg trainers as University. He began his employment in the Hutchinson salt mines carrying 50 to 100 lb. bags of salt and then wisely joined his mother as her Deputy Register of Deeds. His new career with the Chamber of Commerce moved his family to Oregon City, Oregon in 1960 and then finally to “paradise” (Huntington Beach) in 1966. In 1969, he entered banking management and eventually became a self proclaimed professional volunteer with the motto “access to answers”. His service to his community included director and president of Rotary Club including Rotary International’s highest award: the Paul Harris Fellow. Central Park band shell. He was a member and president of the Chamber of Commerce, director and president of the Huntington Beach Conference and Visitor’s Bureau, community fundraiser for the Huntington Beach Community Clinic Duck a thon, and president of the Huntington Beach Council on Aging and was awarded their first Senior Volunteer Extraordinaire. He relished his responsibilities as a Deacon and Greeter at his church, St. Peter’s by the Sea. Dale served the community on countless boards and committees, spearheaded many fundraising projects and was a 5 gallon club blood donor for the American Red Cross. He was named Outstanding Citizen of Huntington Beach in 1993, which garnered he and Ellen a personal meeting with former President Ronald Reagan. He was named Community Grand Marshall of the 2004 Huntington Beach Centennial Celebration parade. He and Ellen traveled the world with friends and family but their house was a home away from home to family, friends and foreign exchange students.

Dale is predeceased by Ellen, is wife of 59 years; his parents; his sister, Charlotte; and his daughter, Beth Ellen. He is survived by daughters, Janie White and hus ugg trainers band, Brett; and Stacy Pierce and husband, Joe; grandchildren, Kendra Terlouw and husband, Marcel, Garett White and wife, Brittany, and Taryn and Chase Lawrence; and great grandchildren, Ava, Audrey and Scott Terlouw.
