KENNETH REIMERSAfter 16 months of navigating the a uggs on sale rduous journey of rehabilitation following a massive stroke, Kenneth Reimers passed away quietly Friday even uggs on sale ing, September 17, 2010. He was born in Orland, California on July 10, 1945, to proud parents, Otto and Ruth Reimers. Kenneth loved growing up and working the family ranch with his parents, brother, Delbert, and sisters, Judy and Becky. Following graduation from Orland High School, Kenneth attended Chico State, earning a degree in agriculture. He attended California State University at Davis, obtaining his teaching credential. He returned to Chico State to work on an MBA degree, where he met and married Bonnie Lewis. They were married for almost 39 years and have 2 grown children, Jennifer and Kevin. Kenneth began working for the state doing appraisal work and in 1972 he transferred to the Butte County Assessors office, where he worked until he retired on April 30, 2009. He absolutely loved his job and felt blessed to serve the County of Butte as Assessor for uggs on sale 4 terms, from 1994 2009. Beyond his professional success Kenneth was known for his generosity. He was affectionately called the “mandarin man” as he delivered hundreds of bags of mandarins each year to friends, fe uggs on sale llow employees and family. He attended Neighborhood Church for 40 years where he loved among many things, serving in the Christian Service Brigade, a ministry for fathers and sons. He especially enjoyed going on father/son and father/daughter outings, depositing great memories for Jennifer and Kevin. Kenneth’s random gifts of kindness, unique sense of humor and never ending stories will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Jennifer; son, Kevin; his mother, Ruth Reimers; sister, Judy and her husband, Jack; brother, Delbert and his wife, Holly; sister, Becky, 2 neices; three nephews and their children. at Graves Cemetery in Orland, California. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jesus center in care of Newton Bracewell Chico Funeral Home.
