Carey, Christine CLIFTON PARK Christine Carey passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 due to injuries resulting from a car accident. on April 4, 1962, Christine attended Shelburne Community School, Champlain Valley Union High Sch ugs ool and was a graduate of Siena College. to Life. In this remarkable program, Chris told the stories of people who have rolled up their sleeves to address some of the most pressing issues of our time. A woman of great strength and conviction, Chr ugs is committed her life to caring for the greater good of the environment and to those who needed inspiration to do good things with their lives. She had a great love of art and music and was involved with her local community to use these gifts to help others through a variety of programs and services. She will continue to be an inspiration to many as an example of success and strength in the face of personal obstacles. Encouraging others to reach their own potential was her passion and she did it with a tremendous amount of grace. Chris’s favorite poem was written by Marge Piercy. “I want to be with people who submerge in the task, who go into the fields to harvest and work in a row and pass the bags along. Who move in a common rhythm when the food must come in or the fire be put out.” Chris will be tremendously missed, but will live on in the thoughts and actions of those who she inspired to be their best. Chris’ death was in keeping with her life in that she left this world thinking only of what she had left to do, and ugs perhaps what she could still do. Her decision to be an organ donor was her parting gift. and several cousins, ugs also survive Christine. at the Ready Funeral Home, 261 Shelburne Rd., Burlington, Vt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Shelburne, Vt.
